US securities rules, enforced on everything AI says.
FINRA, the SEC, and your own policies. One verdict on every message, before it ships.

What This Area Covers
Broker-dealers answer to FINRA and the SEC. Registered investment advisers answer to the SEC under the Investment Advisers Act. Between them, these regulators set the rules for how firms communicate with the public: marketing, performance claims, recommendations, and what has to be kept on file afterward. The rules apply to the message, whoever or whatever wrote it.
The common thread is fair and balanced. Communications cannot be misleading, exaggerated, or promissory. Performance has to be shown with the required context and disclosures. Recommendations to retail customers have to be in the customer's best interest. Firms have to supervise what goes out and keep records of it. An AI draft that skips a disclosure is the same violation as a human draft that skips it.
